Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in contrid Newsletters Plugin up to 4.13 on WordPress. This affects an unknown code block. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
The Newsletters plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to time-based SQL Injection via the ‘wpmlsubscriber_id’ parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.13 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
