A vulnerability was found in Dian Gemilang DGNews 1.5.1/2.1. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file news.php. The manipulation of the argument catid with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. SQL injection vulnerability in news.php in DGNews 2.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the catid parameter in a newslist action. NOTE: this issue can produce resultant cross-site scripting (XSS).
