A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Neuron Soft Golem OEE MES up to 11.5.x. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the component HTTP Request Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Golem OEE MES is vulnerable to an unauthenticated path traversal flaw. This vulnerability allows an attacker in the same local network to read arbitrary files from the server's operating system by manipulating HTTP request paths. This issue has been fixed in version 11.6.0
The weakness was shared by Karol Królak. It is possible to read the advisory at neuron.com.pl. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2026-8464 since 05/13/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack can only be initiated within the local network. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1006 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
Upgrading to version 11.6.0 eliminates this vulnerability.
