Details
A vulnerability was found in Microweber up to 2.0.20 and classified as critical. This issue affects the function userfiles_path of the file /api_nosession/thumbnail_img of the component API Endpoint. The manipulation of the argument cache_path_relative with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
