A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in HP System Management Homepage (Network Management Software). This issue affects some unknown processing of the component System management. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in HP System Management Homepage (SMH) before 2.1.2 running on Linux and Windows allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via unspecified vectors.
The bug was discovered 05/30/2007. The weakness was disclosed 06/01/2007 as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). It is possible to read the advisory at kb.cert.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-3062 since 06/05/2007. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
