Microsoft Windows Graphics Device Interface (GDI+, GdiPlus.dll) allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via an ICO file with an InfoHeader containing a Height of zero, which triggers a divide-by-zero error.
The weakness was disclosed 06/06/2007 by Dennis Rand as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is shared at kb.cert.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-2237 since 04/25/2007. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
