A vulnerability was found in Open Solution Quick.Cart 2.2 and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code of the file admin.php of the component Login. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. config/general.php in Quick.Cart 2.2 and earlier uses a default username and password, which allows remote attackers to access the application via a login action to admin.php. NOTE: this can be leveraged to upload and execute arbitrary code.
The weakness was disclosed 06/02/2007 (Website). The advisory is available at milw0rm.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2007-3139 since 06/08/2007. The attack may be launched remotely.
