A vulnerability was found in EDraw Office Viewer Component. It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file edrawofficeviewer.ocx of the component ActiveX Control. Buffer overflow in a certain ActiveX control in the EDraw Office Viewer Component (edrawofficeviewer.ocx) 4.0.5.20, and other versions before 5.0, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (Internet Explorer 7 crash) or execute arbitrary code via a long first argument to the HttpDownloadFile method.
The bug was discovered 05/29/2007. The weakness was disclosed 05/29/2007 by shinnai (Website). The advisory is shared for download at moaxb.blogspot.com.
