A vulnerability was found in presire qSnapper up to 1.3.2 and classified as problematic. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the component Config File Handler. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that should be within a restricted directory, but it does not properly neutralize sequences such as ".." that can resolve to a location that is outside of that directory. A path traversal attack when using a "configName" parameter in qSnapper before version 1.3.3 allowed a local attacker to use malicious config files for snapper and so cause a denial of service or potentially escalate privileges to root.
