A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in YaBB 2.1 (Forum Software). Affected by this issue is an unknown code block of the file register.pl. CRLF injection vulnerability in Yet another Bulletin Board (YaBB) 2.1 allows remote attackers to obtain administrative access via requests to (1) register.pl or (2) profile.pl that write CRLF sequences to a .vars file. NOTE: this can be leveraged to execute arbitrary code.
The weakness was published 06/12/2007 by Peter Vreugdenhil (Website). The advisory is shared for download at labs.idefense.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2007-3208 since 06/14/2007.
