Details
A vulnerability was found in NetComm Wireless Pty NF20MESH. It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown part of the component Web Management Interface. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a hard-coded key vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-321. The use of a hard-coded cryptographic key significantly increases the possibility that encrypted data may be recovered. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
NetComm NF20MESH routers running firmware R6B031 and earlier contain an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to gain administrative access by exploiting a hardcoded AES-256 key used to encrypt session cookies for the web management interface. Attackers can forge a valid encrypted session cookie using the shared hardcoded key and bypass authentication checks to obtain full administrative control of the management interface while any legitimate administrator session is active.
The weakness was shared by Brendan Scarvell. The advisory is available at signal11.io. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-35019 since 03/31/2026. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1600.001 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
