CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability has been found in Linux Kernel up to 7.0.10 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function br_pass_frame_up of the file state.in of the component netfilter. The manipulation of the argument dev with an unknown input leads to a use after free vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-416. Referencing memory after it has been freed can cause a program to crash, use unexpected values, or execute code. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_queue: hold bridge skb->dev while queued br_pass_frame_up() rewrites skb->dev from the ingress port to the bridge master before queueing bridge LOCAL_IN packets. NFQUEUE only holds references on state.in/out and bridge physdevs, so a queued bridge packet can retain a freed bridge master in skb->dev until reinjection. When the verdict is reinjected later, br_netif_receive_skb() re-enters the receive path with skb->dev still pointing at the freed bridge master, triggering a use-after-free. Store skb->dev in the queue entry, hold a reference on it for the queue lifetime, and use the saved device when dropping queued packets during NETDEV_DOWN handling.

The advisory is available at git.kernel.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-52912 since 06/09/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. The structure of the vulnerability defines a possible price range of USD $5k-$25k at the moment (estimation calculated on 06/24/2026).

Upgrading to version 5.10.259, 5.15.209, 6.1.175, 6.6.142, 6.12.92, 6.18.34 or 7.0.11 eliminates this vulnerability. Applying the patch 950d809f154dca04e5fbe5d3c8b9c5e44769cd57/a698ac8ab2561cf575d2d9f34095032651dd952e/19924bdd8a45ebc72a7b84c57fd63057d1dc75ac/1e5e20031c5eee8d2e490a90ff4d6a2feecfc3be/3823c27099cfe2482299065814adbaa771be9644/15d464265120ab9818bd673af301deee09bedab2/3fb0f5c0f64162a8c3f25616a4f1e340b921737f/e196115ec330a18de415bdb9f5071aa9f08e53ce is able to eliminate this problem. The bugfix is ready for download at git.kernel.org. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
