A vulnerability has been found in Vincent Hor Calendarix 0.7.2007-03-07 (Calendar Software) and classified as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown part of the file calendar.php. The manipulation of the argument ycyear with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Calendarix 0.7.20070307, when register_globals is enabled, allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) year and (2) month parameters to calendar.php, and the (3) leftfooter parameter to cal_footer.inc.php. NOTE: the ycyear parameter to yearcal.php is already covered by CVE-2006-1835.
The weakness was presented 06/26/2007 by Jesper Jurcenoks (Website). The advisory is shared at vupen.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2007-3182 since 06/12/2007. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
