Details
A vulnerability was found in KTM System e-BOK. It has been classified as problematic. Affected is some unknown functionality. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a excessive authentication vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-307. The product does not implement sufficient measures to prevent multiple failed authentication attempts within a short time frame, making it more susceptible to brute force attacks. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
KTM System e-BOK does not implement any limit or timeout on consecutive login attempts, allowing an attacker to perform unlimited authentication requests. This lack of rate‑limiting enables efficient brute‑force attacks against user accounts. When combined with vulnerability CVE-2026-35097, where passwords are restricted to a six‑digit numeric format, this becomes a critical issue, as such passwords can be brute‑forced in a relatively short time. This issue was fixed in the patch published in June 2026.
The weakness was presented by Jacek Korta. The advisory is available at cert.pl. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-35098 since 04/01/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1110.001 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
Upgrading to version 06.2026 eliminates this vulnerability.
