Details
A vulnerability was found in KTM System e-BOK. It has been classified as critical. Affected is some unknown processing. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a session fixiation vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-384. Authenticating a user, or otherwise establishing a new user session, without invalidating any existing session identifier gives an attacker the opportunity to steal authenticated sessions. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
KTM System e-BOK allows the session identifier to be set by the client prior to authentication. If a cookie with a valid name is set, its value remains unchanged after successful login. This behaviour enables an attacker to fix a session ID for a victim and later hijack the authenticated session. This issue was fixed in the patch published in June 2026.
