Details
A vulnerability was found in StoneFly Storage Concentrator and Storage Concentrator Virtual Machine. It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file login.pl. The manipulation of the argument cookie with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Storage Concentrator (SC & SCVM) is vulnerable to SQL injection through cookie values processed by the login.pl and debug.pl scripts. The cookie value is incorporated directly into database queries without adequate sanitization, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to manipulate those queries and extract sensitive information from the underlying database, including session tokens, password hashes, and stored secret keys.
The advisory is shared for download at cisa.gov. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-55721 since 06/22/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely.
