Details
A vulnerability was found in guardian language-system (the affected version is unknown). It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is the function exec of the file transcribe.php. The manipulation of the argument id with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Guardian language-system passes the id GET parameter directly into a PHP exec() call in transcribe.php (line 15) without sanitization: exec(\"php jobs/transcribe.php \".$login_session.\" \".$_GET['id'].\" ...\"). No authentication is required. An unauthenticated remote attacker can append shell metacharacters to execute arbitrary OS commands on the server.
The weakness was released by philopentest. It is possible to read the advisory at gist.github.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2026-34116 since 03/25/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.
