A vulnerability was found in Perfmatters Plugin up to 2.6.4 on WordPress. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the component Local Google Fonts Feature. The manipulation of the argument s with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
The Perfmatters plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 2.6.4 via the 's' parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. Exploitation requires the Local Google Fonts feature to be enabled (disabled by default), pretty permalinks to be active, and RSS feed links to remain enabled in the plugin settings.
