A vulnerability was found in Softlink Europe Oliver Library Management System (Library Management System Software) (the affected version is unknown) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code of the file gateway/gateway.exe. The manipulation of the argument username with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Oliver Library Management System allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) updateform and (2) displayform parameter to (a) gateway/gateway.exe; the (3) TERMS, (4) database, (5) srchad, (6) SuggestedSearch, and (7) searchform parameters to the (b) "Basic Search page"; and (8) username parameter when (c) logging on.
