Details
A vulnerability was found in coollabsio Coolify up to 4.0.0-beta.468 and classified as problematic. This issue affects the function executeInDocker of the component Docker Command Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-74. The product constructs all or part of a command, data structure, or record using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify how it is parsed or interpreted when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Coolify is an open-source and self-hostable tool for managing servers, applications, and databases. Prior to 4.0.0-beta.469, the executeInDocker() helper wraps user-controlled commands in single quotes without escaping embedded single quotes. Attackers who can edit application settings can inject a single quote into docker_compose_custom_build_command or docker_compose_custom_start_command to break out of the quoted context and execute arbitrary commands on the managed server host during deployments, escaping the intended Docker container confinement. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.0-beta.469.
The advisory is shared at github.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2026-34158 since 03/25/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. The exploitation needs additional levels of successful authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1055 for this issue.
Upgrading to version 4.0.0-beta.469 eliminates this vulnerability.
