The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a resource consumption vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-400. The product does not properly control the allocation and maintenance of a limited resource, thereby enabling an actor to influence the amount of resources consumed, eventually leading to the exhaustion of available resources. As an impact it is known to affect availability. The summary by CVE is:
Elysia is a Typescript framework for request validation, type inference, OpenAPI documentation, and client-server communication. Prior to 1.4.29, Elysia uses getAll in form data normalization for multipart/form-data endpoints, causing the amount of work to grow quadratically with the number of unique key-value pairs and allowing CPU exhaustion. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.29.
