A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in WordPress 2.2.1 (Content Management System). This affects the function wp_nonce_ays of the file wp-pass.php. The manipulation of the argument _wp_http_referer with an unknown input leads to a information disclosure vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-200. WordPress before 2.2.2 allows remote attackers to redirect visitors to other websites and potentially obtain sensitive information via (1) the _wp_http_referer parameter to wp-pass.php, related to the wp_get_referer function in wp-includes/functions.php; and possibly other vectors related to (2) wp-includes/pluggable.php and (3) the wp_nonce_ays function in wp-includes/functions.php.

This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2007-3639 since 07/09/2007. The exploitability is told to be difficult. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
