Details
A vulnerability was found in siyuan-note SiYuan up to 3.7.0. It has been classified as problematic. Affected is the function IsSensitivePath of the file kernel/util/path.go of the component File Copy Handler. The manipulation of the argument source path with an unknown input leads to a incomplete blacklist vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-184. The product implements a protection mechanism that relies on a list of inputs (or properties of inputs) that are not allowed by policy or otherwise require other action to neutralize before additional processing takes place, but the list is incomplete, leading to resultant weaknesses. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
SiYuan is an open-source personal knowledge management system. Prior to 3.7.1, POST /api/file/globalCopyFiles accepts attacker-supplied absolute source paths and relies on util.IsSensitivePath in kernel/util/path.go, whose denylist misses common home-directory credential files such as .git-credentials, .netrc, .pgpass, .kube/config, .docker/config.json, and .gnupg, allowing an authenticated administrator or API-token user to copy those files into the workspace and exfiltrate them through the file API. This issue is fixed in versions 3.7.1-alpha.2 and 3.7.1.
The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-59854 since 07/07/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. Additional levels of successful authentication are necessary for exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1562.006 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
