The OLE2 parsing in Norman Antivirus before 5.91.02 allows remote attackers to bypass the malware detection via a crafted DOC file, resulting from an "integer cast around".
The bug was discovered 07/23/2007. The weakness was released 07/23/2007 by Sergio Alvarez with n.runs AG (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2007-3952 since 07/24/2007. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely.
