CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in dbt-labs dbt-mcp up to 1.17.0. Affected by this issue is the function call_tool of the file src/dbt_mcp/mcp/server.py of the component Model Context Protocol Server. The product exposes sensitive information to an actor that is not explicitly authorized to have access to that information. Impacted is confidentiality. CVE summarizes:

dbt-mcp is a Model Context Protocol server for interacting with dbt. Prior to 1.17.1, DbtMCP.call_tool() in src/dbt_mcp/mcp/server.py logged the raw arguments dictionary at INFO level before each tool call and at ERROR level on exceptions, and configure_file_logging() wrote those records to dbt-mcp.log when DBT_MCP_SERVER_FILE_LOGGING=true, preserving sensitive sql_query, vars, and node_selection values in plaintext without automatic rotation or deletion. This issue is fixed in version 1.17.1.

The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-44969 since 05/08/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1592.
