A vulnerability was found in WordPress Unamed Theme Se up to 1.1 (Content Management System). It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument s with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in index.php in the Unnamed theme 1.217, and Special Edition (SE) 1.02, before 20070804 for WordPress allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the s parameter, possibly a related issue to CVE-2007-2757, CVE-2007-4014, and CVE-2007-4165. NOTE: some of these details are obtained from third party information.
The weakness was disclosed 08/06/2007 by phoenix (Website). The advisory is shared at xuyiyang.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-4166 since 08/07/2007. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 1.02 eliminates this vulnerability.
