Integer overflow in Apple QuickTime before 7.5.5 on Windows allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted PICT image, which triggers heap corruption.
The weakness was presented 09/10/2008 by TippingPoint with Apple as HT3027 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2008-3614 since 08/12/2008. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
