Details
A vulnerability was found in acacode swagger-typescript-api up to 13.12.1. It has been classified as critical. Affected is the function HttpClient/Api of the file templates/base/http-clients/axios-http-client.ejs of the component Axios Client Template. The manipulation of the argument servers[0].url with an unknown input leads to a code injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-94. The product constructs all or part of a code segment using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the syntax or behavior of the intended code segment. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
swagger-typescript-api generates API clients for Fetch or Axios from an OpenAPI Specification. Prior to 13.12.2, templates/base/http-clients/axios-http-client.ejs interpolates servers[0].url from src/code-gen-process.ts into the HttpClient constructor without escaping, allowing an attacker-controlled OpenAPI spec to inject code that executes when new HttpClient() or new Api() is constructed. This issue is fixed in version 13.12.2.
The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-54661 since 06/15/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy.
