Details
A vulnerability was found in Gladinet CentreStack up to 17.4 and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is the function AccessTicket.Encrypt/AccessTicket.Decrypt of the component AccessTicket. The manipulation of the argument SysNumber with an unknown input leads to a hard-coded key vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-321. The use of a hard-coded cryptographic key significantly increases the possibility that encrypted data may be recovered. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
CentreStack before 17.5 contains a hardcoded cryptographic key vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to forge arbitrary encrypted tokens by exploiting a static SysNumber value used as entropy for AccessTicket.Encrypt() and AccessTicket.Decrypt() across all installations. Attackers can use the hardcoded key to craft valid x-glad-auth headers and call privileged API endpoints such as acquiretenantbackuptoken to obtain a domain administrator IdentityTicket, enabling a complete unauthenticated remote code execution chain.
The advisory is shared for download at centrestack.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-54363 since 06/12/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1600.001.
Upgrading to version 17.5 eliminates this vulnerability.
