Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as very critical, was found in Toptech Systems RCU II+ and Multiload II+ (affected version not known). Affected is some unknown functionality of the component Debug Interface. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-269. The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
The RCU II+ and Multiload II+ are vulnerable to an unauthenticated service that exposes a debug interface granting full root-level access to the embedded system. This vulnerability stems from a network-accessible port running a Target Communications Framework (TCF) service that does not require any authentication, allowing an attacker to directly interact with the Linux environment that powers the device. Once connected, an attacker can freely view and modify the filesystem, manipulate running processes, and control network interfaces, enabling deep alteration of system behavior.
The advisory is shared for download at s3.amazonaws.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-12562 since 06/17/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
