Detailsinfo

A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in FlowiseAI Flowise up to 3.1.2. Affected is an unknown function of the file packages/components/nodes/tools/MCP/core.ts of the component MCP Server. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:

Flowise is a drag & drop user interface to build a customized large language model flow. Prior to 3.1.3, the mitigation for CVE-2025-8943 blocked -y and --yes flags on npx, but packages/components/nodes/tools/MCP/core.ts denied only PATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH, and NODE_OPTIONS by exact environment-variable name. Because npm reads configuration from npm_config_* variables, setting npm_config_yes=true reproduced --yes behavior without using a blocked flag, causing npx to auto-install and execute the named package when a Custom MCP server launched. This issue is fixed in version 3.1.3.

The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-69263 since 08/03/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1202.

Upgrading to version 3.1.3 eliminates this vulnerability.
