Details
A vulnerability was found in oblique-bit cli up to 15.4.1. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function execSync of the component Project Creation. The manipulation of the argument project-name with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
@oblique/cli 15.4.0 contains an OS command injection vulnerability in the project creation functionality. The CLI constructs shell commands through string concatenation and executes them with execSync(). A user-controlled project-name argument is inserted into the shell command without proper neutralization, allowing shell metacharacters to execute additional operating-system commands when the CLI is invoked with a crafted project name.
The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-16022 since 07/17/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack needs to be approached locally. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1202.
