A vulnerability classified as critical was found in phpMyAdmin up to 3.0.1.1 (Database Administration Software). This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the file pmd_pdf.php. The manipulation of the argument db with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-79. The weakness was disclosed 10/28/2008 by Hadi Kiamarsi as confirmed mailinglist post (Bugtraq). The advisory is available at seclists.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-4775 since 10/28/2008. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
