A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in angrysky56 advanced-reasoning-mcp 1.0.0. Affected by this issue is the function create_system_json/create_library to get_system_json/switch_memory_library of the file src/index.ts. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
