CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Summaryinfo

A vulnerability classified as very critical has been found in Linux Kernel up to 6.12.100/6.18.41/7.1.5/7.2-rc1. Impacted is the function pvr_set_uobj_array of the file drivers/gpu/drm/imagination of the component drm/imagination. Performing a manipulation of the argument stride results in out-of-bounds write. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2026-68262. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. No exploit is available.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in Linux Kernel up to 6.12.100/6.18.41/7.1.5/7.2-rc1. It has been classified as very critical. This affects the function pvr_set_uobj_array of the file drivers/gpu/drm/imagination of the component drm/imagination. The manipulation of the argument stride with an unknown input leads to a out-of-bounds write vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-787. The product writes data past the end, or before the beginning, of the intended buffer. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/imagination: Fix user array stride in pvr_set_uobj_array() pvr_set_uobj_array() copies an array of kernel objects to a userspace array whose element size is described by out->stride. When out->stride is different from the kernel object size, the slow path advances the userspace pointer by the kernel object size and the kernel pointer by the userspace stride. This reverses the intended layout. For larger userspace strides, later copies read from the wrong kernel addresses. For smaller userspace strides, later copies are written at the wrong userspace offsets. The padding clear is also done only for the first element instead of the padding area for each element. Advance the userspace pointer by out->stride and the kernel pointer by obj_size, and clear per-element padding while the current userspace pointer is still available.

The advisory is shared at git.kernel.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-68262 since 07/30/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. The price for an exploit might be around USD $5k-$25k at the moment (estimation calculated on 08/10/2026).

Upgrading to version 6.12.101, 6.18.42, 7.1.6 or 7.2-rc2 eliminates this vulnerability. Applying the patch bbebc39a70f6fc9b02637c8624349e30325873cb/b983a35dad3701399c692d7c6eb57d8b6ffc0929/09beaf4aec05b0525f2153dce693f3eb3166697a/8dc8f3f4c2382fb7d1b1986ba8f33a2466cd3d7a is able to eliminate this problem.
