Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as very critical, was found in Dokploy up to 0.29.7. Affected is the function getRegistryCommands of the file packages/server/src/utils/cluster/upload.ts of the component Upload. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Dokploy is a free, self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS). Prior to 0.29.8, the getRegistryCommands() function in packages/server/src/utils/cluster/upload.ts interpolates registry.password and registry.registryUrl directly into a shell command without escaping. An authenticated user with project access can configure malicious registry credentials and trigger a swarm deployment to execute arbitrary OS commands on the Dokploy server, read or modify host files, and access other containers through Docker. This issue is fixed in version 0.29.8.
The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-72879 since 08/10/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The current price for an exploit might be approx.
