Details
A vulnerability has been found in Admidio up to 5.0.9 and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function enable of the file modules/sso/clients.php of the component SSO Client. The manipulation of the argument enabled with an unknown input leads to a cross-site request forgery vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-352. The web application does not, or can not, sufficiently verify whether a well-formed, valid, consistent request was intentionally provided by the user who submitted the request. As an impact it is known to affect integrity. CVE summarizes:
Admidio is an open-source user management solution. Prior to version 5.0.10, `modules/sso/clients.php` validates an `adm_csrf_token` on every state-changing branch except `enable`. The `enable` case loads the SAML or OIDC client by UUID, calls `$client->enable($enabled)`, and persists the new state with no token check. Because the action is reachable via plain GET parameters, a third-party page can trick an authenticated administrator into disabling (or silently re-enabling) any configured SAML or OIDC client. Disabling an SSO client breaks every downstream relying-party application that authenticates through it. Version 5.0.10 contains a fix.
The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-47229 since 05/19/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
