Details
A vulnerability was found in Wolfsoftwaresystems WolfStack up to 25.9.1. It has been classified as very critical. Affected is the function require_auth of the file src/auth/mod.rs of the component Auth Module. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a hard-coded credentials vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-798. The product contains hard-coded credentials, such as a password or cryptographic key, which it uses for its own inbound authentication, outbound communication to external components, or encryption of internal data. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
WolfStack before 25.9.2 contains a hard-coded cluster-authentication secret compiled into every build and published as a constant in src/auth/mod.rs, allowing remote unauthenticated attackers to bypass authentication by supplying this value in the X-WolfStack-Secret header to the require_auth() gate without any session, API key, or user account. Attackers can reach an affected node's management port to enumerate all Docker and LXC containers on the host and execute arbitrary commands as root inside any container via the POST /api/containers/{runtime}/{id}/exec endpoint.
The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2026-73519 since 08/12/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 08/12/2026). The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1110.001.
