Details
A vulnerability has been found in QuantumNous New API and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function updateUserCache of the file controller/user.go of the component User. The manipulation of the argument language/sidebar_modules with an unknown input leads to a toctou vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-367. The product checks the state of a resource before using that resource, but the resource's state can change between the check and the use in a way that invalidates the results of the check. This can cause the product to perform invalid actions when the resource is in an unexpected state. As an impact it is known to affect integrity. CVE summarizes:
New API is a large language mode (LLM) gateway and artificial intelligence (AI) asset management system. Prior to 1.0.0-rc.16, repeated PUT /api/user/self requests that update language or sidebar_modules can race relay billing because controller/user.go calls User.Update and updateUserCache performs a full RedisHSetObj write to user:.Quota, overwriting concurrent HINCRBY deductions and allowing an authenticated user to keep cached quota artificially high. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.0-rc.16.
The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-64865 since 07/20/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
Upgrading to version 1.0.0-rc.16 eliminates this vulnerability.
