A vulnerability was found in reportico-web up to 8.1.0 and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block of the file run.php. The manipulation of the argument saveTemplate with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. An arbitrary file write/directory traversal vulnerability in reportico-web <= 8.1.0 allows remote attackers to create or overwrite files anywhere on the filesystem subject to the permissions of the web user by specifying a filename in the "saveTemplate" parameter in conjuction with "execute_mode=PREPARE" parameter in the "run.php" endpoint.
