Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Services/Utilities/classes/class.ilUtil.php in ILIAS 3.8.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via attributes inside a domain-name string in the (1) mailing or (2) forum component, as demonstrated using the style and onmouseover HTML attributes.
The weakness was presented 10/31/2007 by L4teral (Website). The advisory is shared at downloads.sourceforge.net. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2007-5806 since 11/05/2007. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
