A vulnerability was found in SonicWall Ssl Vpn 200 up to 2.0 (Firewall Software). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component ActiveX Control. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Absolute path traversal vulnerability in the WebCacheCleaner ActiveX control 1.3.0.3 in SonicWall SSL-VPN 200 before 2.1, and SSL-VPN 2000/4000 before 2.5, allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files via a full pathname in the argument to the FileDelete method.
