Symantec PCAnywhere 10.x and 11, when started as a service, allows attackers to gain SYSTEM privileges via the help interface using AWHOST32.exe.
The weakness was released 11/12/2003 by KF with Security Network Operations security team (Website). The advisory is shared for download at sarc.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2003-0936 since 11/10/2003. The attack needs to be approached locally. A authentication is needed for exploitation.
