A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in pac4j up to 6.5.5. Affected by this issue is the function DefaultLogoutLogic.perform of the component Logout. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a redirect vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-601. A web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a Redirect. This simplifies phishing attacks. Impacted is integrity. CVE summarizes:
pac4j-core before 6.5.6 contains an open redirect vulnerability in DefaultLogoutLogic.perform() that accepts backslash-prefixed logout redirect targets matching logoutUrlPattern. Attackers can craft logout links with backslash-prefixed external hosts that browsers normalize into network-path references, redirecting victims to attacker-controlled sites after logout.
