CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in samanhappy MCPHub up to 1.0.31. It has been classified as problematic. This affects the function handleGetPromptRequest/handleReadResourceRequest of the file /api/prompts of the component Prompt/Resource Controllers. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-269. The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor. This is going to have an impact on integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:

MCPHub is a unified hub for centrally managing and dynamically orchestrating multiple MCP servers/APIs into separate endpoints with flexible routing strategies. Prior to version 1.0.32, the built-in prompt and resource controllers perform no role checking. The mutating POST/PUT /api/prompts* and POST/PUT /api/resources* routes are attached to the authenticated router with no admin gate, and the handlers never read req.user. The DAO singletons they write are consulted first — ahead of any connected MCP server — for every session in handleGetPromptRequest / handleReadResourceRequest. A non-admin can therefore create, overwrite, and shadow global prompt templates and resources that all other users are served. The scored impact is the unauthorized integrity violation (creation/tampering/shadowing of globally-served records); stored prompt injection into other users' LLM sessions is a downstream consequence of that tampering. This issue has been patched in version 1.0.32.

The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-79745 since 08/25/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1068 for this issue.

Upgrading to version 1.0.32 eliminates this vulnerability.
