A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in ellite Wallos up to 4.9.5. Affected by this vulnerability is the function ZipArchive::extractTo of the file /endpoints/db/restore.php of the component Zip Extraction. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Wallos is an open-source, self-hostable personal subscription tracker. Prior to version 4.9.6, POST /endpoints/db/restore.php calls ZipArchive::extractTo() without validating entry names for ../ sequences. Admin uploads crafted zip with entry logos/../../endpoints/shell.php to write webshell to webroot. Extension filter only applies to post-extraction logo copy step. This issue has been patched in version 4.9.6.
