A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in ellite Wallos up to 4.9.5. This affects an unknown functionality of the file /endpoints/notifications/testemailnotifications.php of the component Email Notification. The manipulation of the argument smtpaddress/smtpport with an unknown input leads to a server-side request forgery vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-918. The web server receives a URL or similar request from an upstream component and retrieves the contents of this URL, but it does not sufficiently ensure that the request is being sent to the expected destination. Wallos is an open-source, self-hostable personal subscription tracker. Prior to version 4.9.6, POST /endpoints/notifications/testemailnotifications.php accepts smtpaddress and smtpport from POST body with zero SSRF validation. PHPMailer connects to attacker-supplied host:port. Every other notification endpoint uses ssrf_helper.php but email was missed. Any authenticated user can probe internal network, cloud metadata. This issue has been patched in version 4.9.6.
