CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (version unknown). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects the function golang.org/x/text/language.ParseAcceptLanguage of the component oauth-server. The manipulation of the argument Accept-Language with an unknown input leads to a resource consumption vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-400. The product does not properly control the allocation and maintenance of a limited resource, thereby enabling an actor to influence the amount of resources consumed, eventually leading to the exhaustion of available resources. As an impact it is known to affect availability. CVE summarizes:

A flaw was found in openshift/oauth-server. The OAuth login and error page endpoints pass the unauthenticated Accept-Language header to golang.org/x/text/language.ParseAcceptLanguage() without input validation. A bypass of the CVE-2022-32149 mitigation exists: the upstream guard counts only '-' characters but the internal BCP 47 scanner aliases '_' to '-' after the guard check. An unauthenticated attacker can send a crafted Accept-Language header using '_' separators to trigger quadratic-time parsing, consuming excessive CPU and denying authentication to all cluster users.

The advisory is available at access.redhat.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-49329 since 05/29/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. The structure of the vulnerability defines a possible price range of USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 09/01/2026). This vulnerability is assigned to T1499 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
