Details
A vulnerability was found in Siemens Reyrolle 7SR5 up to 2.69 and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown code block. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a random values vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-330. The product uses insufficiently random numbers or values in a security context that depends on unpredictable numbers. Impacted is confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
A vulnerability has been identified in Reyrolle 7SR5 (All versions < V2.70). A session identifier is generated using an algorithm with insufficient randomness, resulting in a token with low entropy that can be predicted or brute-forced within a feasible number of attempts. This could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to derive valid session identifiers and bypass authentication.
The advisory is shared for download at cert-portal.siemens.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-62646 since 07/14/2026. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 09/08/2026). The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1600.001.
