The DAV component in Chandler Server (Cosmo) before 0.10.1 does not check resource creation permissions, which allows remote authenticated users to create arbitrary resources in another user s home collection.

The weakness was disclosed 12/05/2007 as Bug 11587 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). It is possible to read the advisory at bugzilla.osafoundation.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2007-6383 since 12/14/2007. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. Required for exploitation is a simple authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1068 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
